Deadlines! Deadlines! Summary of Significant Findings and critical reflection

World Religion Students:

You need to be done or at least at the draft level of your summary of significant findings. The class is falling behind and deadlines are fast approaching. Please get me an updated version of your latest IA.

Here is what needs to be done:
Next week: I must have drafts of Sections A, B and C
Following week: Critical Reflection section draft
By November 10th you need to have a draft of the whole IA.

By Tuesday, October 27th you must have this done:

Summary of Significant Findings focus on the following:
  • Key in on 3 to 4 main findings related to the question - build on these.
  • Identify and outline significant findings from the investigation through observation, interview and or participation
  • Explain the relationship between research findings and the research question
  • Discuss the rationale and plan of study in relationship to the significant research findings.
  • 300 - 360 words
You should be working on Critical Reflection: By next week you need to be putting this to paper. Here is what you need to focus on:

The focus of Critical Reflection and Evaluation should be:
  • Critical reflection on the findings in relation to the question
  • Demonstrate how the investigation deepens an understanding of the religious experiences and/or beliefs.
  • Analyze the findings of the preliminary research and assess its usefulness in relation to the significant findings in the study.
  • Understand the degree to which the research was successful in producing significant findings for analysis and justifying future research.
  • Identify misconceptions and inconsistencies as a result of the research plan and materials used.
  • 500 - 600 words
